YES! It is advisable to book in advance. We cover a vast area. There are very few taxis in the area. 🚕💨

One of the downsides of living in such a beautiful rural area is the lack of mobile phone signal.

Often, we are all out driving. 🚖 🚐

Please remember weekends are our busiest times. Non urgent emails/messages will be dealt with on a week day during office hours.

We aim to check emails/messages at least twice a day, and respond within 24 to 48 hours. 👩🏻‍💻☕️

We can supply car seats for infants, and toddlers. Most of our vehicles have 'all ages' seat belts. Let us know what size/type of car seat is suitable. 💺

Some of our vehicles are wheelchair accessible.  We have a range of Unwin wheelchair restraints.  We also carry out passenger transport for Powys Teaching Health Board. 🏥

If required, we can offer temporary (day) hire of an approved crash tested wheelchair provided, and maintained by TPG Disabled Aids Hereford. 🦽 

Occasionally, when 'out on the road' card machines will not connect due to poor 3G coverage.  Drivers are aware of locations where there are connection issues, which means payments will need to be made at the start of certain journeys.

Sadly, Hay on Wye no longer has a high street bank, and just one ATM in the town, and no bank. - this can run out of money during peak times! 

Our taxis operate on a meter. Prices (per mile) are set by Powys and Herefordshire County Council. There are variations in prices - which are listed on the tariff sheet.

• There are different rates depending on the number of passengers travelling. NOT the number of seats in the vehicle, or size of the vehicle. 1 to 4 people, or 5 or more people
  
• Time of day. 11pm will cost slightly more than 11am.
  
• Day of the year. Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year. Taxi meters will automatically know what day it is!
• Taxi meters can only be fitted/altered by someone authorised by the County Council.

Locally, there are some great places to visit, we can take you there (and bring you back!)

Horseriding, canoeing, cycling, mountain or moorland walks, and nature reserves. Or open farms with play barns?

From chapels to churches, to abbeys and cathedrals. Castles, and black and white houses tour.

Cider or gin? Local beers/fine wine. There's loads to do here on the Welsh border.

Yes. DBS checks are carried out by our two local councils. Powys County Council, and Herefordshire.
