One of the downsides of living in such a beautiful rural area is the lack of mobile phone signal.
If no answer, try sending a text message. They usually come through when we get back within phone reception. Often we're either over the mountains, or down in the Wye Valley.
No 3G, we have looked into various alternative methods of communication - smoke signals, carrier pigeon and yodelling. Neither have been very successful :-(
Sorry..... we unfortunately do not have a full time member of staff to answer telephones, take bookings, and reply to emails within 15 minutes. We aim to check emails once a day, and respond within 24 hours.
Why YES! We love dogs. Even soggy doggies. Mud and dirt washes off. No worries!
We can supply car seats for infants, and toddlers. Most of our vehicles have 'all ages' seat belts.
Some of our vehicles are wheelchair accessible, with electric lifts. We have a range of new Unwin wheelchair restraints.
Can I pay by card?
We do have a card machine - yet occasionally we find that it doesn't work when 'out on the road' due to poor 3G coverage. Hay on Wye now only has one ATM/ hole in the wall - this can run out of money during peak times!
We can offer some really good ideas on what to do, or what to see.
Locally, there are some great places to visit, we can take you there (and bring you back!)
Horseriding, canoeing, cycling, mountain walks, and nature reserves. Or open farms with play barns?
From chapels to churches, to abbeys and cathedrals. Castles, and black and white houses tour.
Cider or gin? Local beers/fine wine. There's loads to do here on the Welsh border.
